About
We make the boring tools restaurants actually need.
Chequo is built in Florence, Italy by a small team that has spent years watching what restaurant software gets wrong: too many features nobody uses, not enough that work when service is at peak. We are doing the opposite.
Principle 1
Calm beats clever.
Software for the floor should feel like a clean kitchen pass — everything in its place, nothing extra. Our job is to remove cognitive load from people who are already doing emotional work.
Principle 2
Europe first.
Most POS products were built for US restaurants and translated. Chequo starts with Italian fiscalization, multilingual menus, and SEPA — they are core, not bolt-ons.
Principle 3
Cheap hardware, expensive design.
A €120 Android tablet should run service as smoothly as a €1,200 iPad. We optimize for the hardware operators actually buy.
Principle 4
Offline is not optional.
Restaurant wifi is unreliable. Power blips. Routers reboot. A POS that loses a check during dinner has failed at its only job.
